Are you ready to make a real impact with data? We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics and Reporting team within Defined Benefits. This is a newly created role designed to support growing business-as-usual demands and evolving analytical needs. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that works across a wide range of internal stakeholders, contributing to both operational reporting including areas such as pension risk transfer and strategic insights.With exposure to a variety of tools and data environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your technical skills, shape reporting processes, and help drive the team’s transition from reporting to analytics.What you'll be doing:
1. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights
2. Designing and building dashboards and reports using visualisation tools
3. Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
4. Supporting data quality initiatives and ensuring data integrity
5. Developing and maintaining data pipelines and automated workflows
6. Communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
7. Contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes and tools
8. Applying statistical techniques to support business decision-making
QualificationsWho we're looking for:
9. Demonstrable experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation
10. Proficiency in SQL/SAS and at least one data visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) would be highly beneficial
11. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. A degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
