We are looking for a talented and ambitious Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office. Team Role
* Assisting professionals in the delivery of commissions at all project stages.
* Assisting with technical and professional reports and associated advice.
* After a period of probation and as your confidence grows, begin to operate more autonomously providing strategic advice allied to your professional background.
* Work towards your professional qualification alongside your practical experience.
Individual duties
* Coordinating detailed design information.
* Preparation of specifications, obtaining tenders and preparing contract documents.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
* Contributing to meetings and document preparation.
* Contract administration, valuation and certification including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
Skills And Requirements
* Graduate of Building Surveying
* Aspiration and drive to work towards APC
* Valid UK driving licence
* Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting
* Willing to travel by car and/or public transport in support of day-to-day work.
Knowledge
* MS365 and Teams
* JCT / NEC Contracts
* UK Building Regulations and construction standards
