Mode Search is supporting a contemporary luxury brand in the appointment of a Head of E-Commerce to lead its fast-growing digital business.
This is a key opportunity to drive global online growth, enhance the customer journey, and deliver a data-led commercial strategy within a brand recognised for its modern and purpose-driven approach.
The position is a hybrid role working 2 days in the office based in London and 3 days from home. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Head of E-Commerce will lead the e-commerce team and work closely with merchandising, finance, operations, digital, and creative departments to accelerate global digital performance.
The Role
 * Define and deliver a global e-commerce strategy aligned with commercial growth objectives.
 * Oversee all aspects of the website (Shopify Plus), ensuring a seamless, mobile-first user experience.
 * Drive online revenue through impactful launches, curated assortments, and engaging digital storytelling.
 * Lead conversion rate optimisation through A/B testing, journey analysis, and data-driven insights.
 * Collaborate with internal teams on sales forecasting, stock planning, and trading performance.
 * Manage e-commerce platforms, tools, and integrations, ensuring scalability and security.
 * Monitor and analyse KPIs to inform strategic decisions across product, pricing, and customer journey.
 * Lead, mentor, and develop the e-commerce team while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
 * 10+ years’ experience in e-commerce, ideally within luxury or premium retail.
 * Strong expertise in Shopify Plus and digital trading.
 * Proven success driving online sales and improving customer experience.
 * Solid analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
 * Experience managing external agencies and leading high-performing teams.
 * Commercially minded, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
