Provision & LSA Role
Working in specialist schools for students aged 9-16 with social emotional needs and Autism, focusing on recovery from trauma through restorative practices and a holistic learning approach.
* Supports students with SEMH, ADHD, Asperger's, OCD, Dyslexia, and related challenges.
* Focuses on learning, personal, and functional skills development.
* Includes practical, creative, and vocational subjects that inspire students and promote positive societal contributions.
* Class sizes of 6-8 students, grouped by ability, interest, and age.
Training & Salary
MAPA and ABA training provided. Salary ranges from £98 to £105 per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Role Expectations
This Learning Support Assistant role involves engaging with challenging situations to build foundational experience. Empathy and pragmatism are essential, with an emphasis on the holistic and therapeutic aspects of education.
Restorative Practice and positive reinforcement are key skills. The role involves supporting students with EHCPs, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties, aiming to raise academic attainment across various areas.
