The Purpose of the Role: Youll take ownership of the production P&L reporting across multiple business entities, ensuring accurate retail margin tracking and uncovering cost-saving or revenue-generating opportunities. This is a key role supporting strategic goals during a period of operational and financial transformation. Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close: Lead the end-to-end month-end process, including journal posting, inter-company reconciliation, Capex and accruals reviews. P&L & Margin Analysis: Manage, analyse, and enhance production P&Ls across entities. Reporting & Insights: Deliver timely and insightful reporting to support business decisions. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with finance, production, and distribution to support accurate cost analysis and commentary. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure timely, accurate, and audit-ready reconciliations with clear justifications. Purchasing & Cost Control: Monitor purchasing adherence and promote best practice across teams. Forecasting & Budgeting: Support financial planning, taking ownership of specific department budgets. Process Improvement: Drive efficiency in financial reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives across the network. About You: Open to qualified, part-qualified or QBE finance professionals. 23 years experience in a finance analyst or management accountant role (preferably in production, manufacturing, or sourcing environments). Proficiency in managing month-end close, journal entries, and reporting processes. Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights. A proactive approach to improving financial processes and uncovering commercial opportunities. Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally. Location: This role is based in Burton on Trent, with a hybrid working model (two days per week in-office). With travel to another local site.
