Bagshot LDR Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. We are looking for a fully-skilled and experienced professional that is capable of working to the high standards expected by our loyal customer base. We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and develop in our team, and a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues. Duties
* The general maintenance and servicing of Land Rover's and Jaguars
* Candidates should be able to work diligently and without constant supervision to an extremely high standard, and be able to use initiative where necessary
* Candidates must be able to work on their own but also as part of a team
* Correctly diagnosing and repairing faults as they arise or are reported
* Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work
* Discussing required repairs with customers
* Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work
* Repairing or replacing components as required
* Road testing vehicles to test repair work
* Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories, including immobilisers, alarms and stereos
* Performing service checks
* Performing vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and air filters, as required
* Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Experience
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
* Familiarity with automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Candidates must be reliable, have good time keeping and excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Driving licence
* Must have own tools
* Understand the necessity for confidentiality
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch. No weekend work is required.
