ROLE- Graduate Design Engineer
LOCATION- Salisbury
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000-£29,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Salisbury on a permanent basis.
The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or similar
* Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design
* A sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials
* Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
* Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
* Hands‑on technical experience through your course
* Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail
* Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills
The Graduate Design Engineer roles will involve:
* Using 2D and 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
* Liaising with manufacturing providers
* Testing and prototype development
* Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a small multi‑disciplinary team on varied projects
