Role: Procurement Manager - Temporary - Belfast Job Overview VANRATH are pleased to support a well-established company in need of an experienced Procurement Manager to join and oversee an initial project. The Procurement Manager will join the business on a temporary basis with view to extend. Salary: £40,000 Location: Belfast Contract: Temporary, with view to extend Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing and high-quality supply chains. Lead supplier negotiations and manage key supplier relationships to ensure optimal terms and delivery. Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely purchase of goods and services in line with company needs and budgets. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards. Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Manage procurement staff and ensure effective team performance. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Prepare and manage procurement reports, tracking purchasing performance and key metrics. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier contracts. Essential Criteria: Significant experience in procurement or a similar supply chain role. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships. Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies effectively. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using procurement software. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. A degree or professional qualification in procurement, business, or a related field is desirable. Experience in a similar industry would be an advantage.
