Logistics Account Manager Manchester £27,000 - £35,000 bonus Monday-Friday | 08:30-17:00 We're working with a well-established, employee-owned contract logistics and 3PL business in Manchester that is expanding its commercial operations team. They're looking for a customer-driven Logistics Account Manager who enjoys ownership, variety, and working closely with both clients and internal teams. This role suits someone who likes being hands-on, values strong relationships, and wants to work in a business where everyone benefits from collective success. The Role You'll take ownership of a portfolio of 3PL customers, acting as their day-to-day operational and commercial contact. From onboarding new clients to managing stock activity, service performance, and billing, you'll ensure each account runs smoothly and profitably. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for assigned 3PL clients Manage client onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to live operation Oversee stock intake, order fulfilment, and day-to-day account activity Ensure all accounts operate to agreed SOPs and service level agreements Monitor service performance and address issues proactively Prepare accurate weekly and monthly billing, capturing all chargeable activity Identify commercial opportunities, maximising revenue and profitability Work with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable service delivery Conduct regular client reviews and maintain strong working relationships Escalate operational or procedural risks and work collaboratively on solutions Support wider business development initiatives when required Manage your own workload to ensure efficiency across all accounts What We're Looking For You'll be a strong fit if you bring: Proven experience in 3PL, contract logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations A customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills Commercial awareness and confidence managing client profitability A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise effectively A collaborative working style and positive, solutions-focused attitude Confidence influencing others while remaining approachable and professional The ability to spot issues early and take ownership of resolving them Culture & Working Style This is a business that values energy, accountability, and teamwork.
