We’re looking for a Student Support Guide to work with pupils with Autism and communication needs. This is an ideal role for someone who is patient, empathetic and excited about helping young people build confidence, independence and meaningful connections.
Responsibilities
* Support students with Autism, including those with more complex behaviours.
* Work 1:1 and within small groups to help pupils access learning in a way that works for them.
* Encourage communication, self-esteem and emotional regulation.
* Help create predictable routines and structures that support positive behaviour.
* Assist teachers in delivering activities that promote engagement and progress.
* Celebrate every milestone – big or small – to keep pupils motivated.
Qualifications & Skills
* Calm, resilient individuals who can adapt when things get challenging.
* People with transferable skills: youth work, care, coaching, hospitality, mentoring, retail or customer service.
* Anyone passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential.
* Experience with Autism is welcome, but not essential – training and guidance are provided.
* Hands‑on experience in a specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism is desirable.
