Web Applications Support Engineer
Our client is looking for an experienced Web Applications Support Engineer to join them on a contract basis. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving critical web applications, ensuring high availability and performance for end users.
For this role, the key essential skills are: JavaScript, SQL & Unix/Linux

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1/2 line support for web-based applications
* Investigate and resolve incidents, bugs, and performance issues
* Work closely with technical teams to diagnose and fix defects
* Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
* Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and fixes
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with JavaScript in a production environment
* Basic knowledge of SQL (query writing, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
* Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems (shell scripting, log analysis, system commands)
* Experience supporting web applications in a live environment
* Familiarity with debugging tools and monitoring systems
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and manage priorities
* Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach
