Job Summary

Roseberry Park Hospital has an exciting opportunity within Adult Mental Health and PICU for Trainee Healthcare Assistants. This role will involve working within the Roseberry Park Adult inpatient Services, which include four acute wards and one PICU covering assessment and treatment in mental health. There may be opportunities to work across the different male and female groups (no guarantee of a specific ward if successful). You will be required to be innovative, flexible and able to engage service users and their carers. Strong team‑working principles are essential; you will work with a variety of people and partner with a range of disciplines and providers both internal and external to the service. We pride ourselves on delivering high‑standard, multidisciplinary care and are forward‑thinking and progressive in improving our services.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. This position does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa, and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this role. It is a challenging role that affords the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team focused on high‑standard, evidence‑based care for patients, carers and the wider community.

Key Qualifications

* NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
* Key skills in Literacy and Numeracy level 2.
* Previous experience as a Band 2/3 HCA or equivalent in a care environment.
* Qualification must be accredited by a recognised awarding body (e.g. City & Guilds, NCFE, Cache, NOCN, Pearson) and meet standards set by external regulators.

Employment Information

Staff work in a smoke‑free environment under a no‑smoking policy. The Trust offers two start dates per month (the 1st and the 3rd Monday).
