What You’ll Do
As the Fibre Lead, you will be aligned to a specific customer programme, working on complex requirements, and acting as lead for fibre deployment, splicing, and assurance activities. You will also support the wider VBSE field services team. Responsibilities include:
* Lead on internal site splicing works, including training and support for regional field team members.
* Carry out fibre testing & review results with SMEs.
* Support fibre planning activities and network reservations.
* Create deployment plans/packs.
* Act as SME for assurance activities including expected fibre loss calculations.
* Serve as an escalation point for field fibre issues.
* Ensure field colleagues are updated on evolving fibre specifications and regulations.
* Produce and review fibre-specific Local Work Instructions (LWIs) and process documentation.
Who You Are
* In-depth technical knowledge of Fibre delivery.
* Experience and knowledge of internal site fibre splicing.
* In-depth knowledge of GIS and other geospatial mapping tools.
* Ability to manage multiple demands and workflows, meet deadlines, and prioritize.
* Understanding of systems used to manage customer/project orders (e.g., Clarify, ORMT, GIS).
* Experience managing multiple initiatives of varying size and complexity.
* Experience with carrier technologies and delivery methodologies.
Security Clearance: This role requires the ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
