We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller with a strong background in operating and programming Siemens control systems to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components from various materials, including exotic alloys, stainless steel, and aluminium. This role requires a precise individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems.
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to specified tolerances.
* Program CNC machines using Siemens controls, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
* Utilise offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and optimise machining processes.
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any technical issues.
* Conduct first-off inspection and verify the accuracy of machined parts using precision measurement tools.
* Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all components meet strict quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance machining processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Siemens controls.
* Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloys.
* Experience with offline programming, particularly using Alphacam, is highly advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
* Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
