Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team in Harewood, United Kingdom. As a key member of our catering staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service in our food service areas.
* Assist in the preparation of food and snacks, following recipes and food safety guidelines
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and restaurant areas at all times
* Provide friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers
* Ensure prompt and efficient customer service, consistently exceeding expectations
* Maintain visibility during service periods, being approachable and quick to fulfill customer needs
* Keep service areas and counters clean, fully stocked, and presentable
* Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and effective service
* Follow unit cleaning schedules rigorously
* Attend and participate in required food safety, health and safety, and environmental training courses
* Assist with additional kitchen and service area duties as requested by management
Qualifications
* Basic food handling and safety knowledge
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Team player mentality with a collaborative approach
* Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
* Keen attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques
* High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
* Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not required)
