The governors of Hunslet Primary School are looking to appoint a skilled High Needs Teaching Assistant to work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, that enable access to learning for pupils with a recognised need and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Experience of supporting pupils with reading/writing/maths
2. Experience of supporting children with SEND
3. Patience and understanding
4. A calm, positive and confident manner
5. Good communication and interpersonal sills
6. Lots of initiative
7. The ability to work successfully as part of a team
8. A firm commitment to follow school policies and practice
