To manage general security across all company sites, including the management of the Security team, ensuring appropriate cover for Company property and the processing of BC and SC vetting to Defence Vetting Agency (DVA) requirements.
To manage the business infrastructure services across all company sites. In particular the services provided will include Facilities, Premises (including compliance, grounds, utilities, repair, maintenance, and liaison with managing agents and subtenants) Logistics (in house transport of employees and goods), the company’s owned and rented vehicle fleet, Business Resilience and Disaster Recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Adhere to the departmental level of service as published from time to time

* Undertake training as appropriate in order to fulfil the requirements of the role
* Participate in any other duties as commensurate with the grade and/or responsibilities of the role
* Provide upward feedback to your Line Manager and suggest improvements
* Maintain a professional and strong working relationship with all employees and managers
Regulatory
* Recording of BC and SC using manual and computerised methods.
* Process clearance transfers between companies for new starters, where applicable.
* Ensure material controls are protectively marked to the correct level.
* To work to Manual Protective Security.
* Liaise with Defence Vetting Agency (DVA) on security vetting matters.
Management
* Advising the Company Senior Leadership Team on all security related matters
* Line Management of the Security team.
* Line Management of the Facilities Team
* Management of the Britten-Norman Aerospace Ltd UK sites infrastructure
* Sourcing and management of contractors for the upkeep of all property, equipment and services.
* Management of site security across all Britten-Norman UK facilities
* Management of alarm systems, CCTV, locking, securing company property and equipment,
* Develop and maintain building access control systems.
* Management of visitors.
Reporting
* Generate and provide to the Senior Leadership Team regularly security reports
* Assist the Senior Leadership Team in generating and maintaining Infrastructure Budgets.
Safety
* Liaise with the Health, Safety and Environment advisor to ensure continued compliance to HSE regulations.
* Ensure all contracted infrastructure work is carried out in accordance with company and HSE regulations
Other
* Provide security inductions to new starters
* Be a member of the emergency call out team
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* You must be a decision maker and problem solver and have the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Attention to detail in the quality process is essential. Clear and effective communication and the ability to write in plain English are also both essential attributes
* minimum of 2 years experience in a corporate security role
* General site security
* Ability to achieve a UK Security clearance
* Full UK driving licence
* Computer literate, including a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a wide range of people at all levels within the business
* Good command of English spelling and grammar in all written correspondence
* Excellent organisational skills
