Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Midweight/Senior Apparel Designer based in Swansea, with flexibility for some remote work. The designer will lead the end‑to‑end creation of gymnastics apparel, from conceptualization and fabric selection to designing innovative and functional pieces. Daily responsibilities include exploring new trends, collaborating with team members, and overseeing fittings and technical measurements to ensure high standards in design aesthetics and functionality. The role also involves working closely with the design manager to select and source trims and textiles that deliver superior quality and comfort for athletes. Confident to push boundaries and design concepts.
Experience or a passion for gymnastics is a must!
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in Fashion Design, including a proven track record of creating innovative and functional apparel.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Textiles and Trims, with the ability to source and select materials to meet quality and performance standards.
* Experience with Fitting and garment construction, ensuring precise and athlete‑focused designs.
* A background in apparel design for sportswear or performance wear is a plus.
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to stay ahead of fashion trends.
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work within a dynamic team environment.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
