School Business Manager

Location: Backwell, Bristol
Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week (Full Year)
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 (DOE)
Start Date: April 2026
Closing Date: 27 January 2026

We are seeking an experienced School Business Manager to play a key role in establishing and shaping a new specialist school opening in Autumn 2026.

The school will support children and young people aged 5-19 with ASD and SEMH needs, providing a nurturing, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.


The Role

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead and manage the school's support services, including:

* Finance and budget management

* HR and administration

* Facilities, ICT, health & safety

* Catering and housekeeping

You will ensure strong operational systems, compliance, and effective use of resources to support positive outcomes for students.


About You

* Proven leadership experience in business or operational management

* Strong financial and budget management skills

* Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance

* Experience leading teams and managing multiple functions

* Confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills

* Management or finance qualification desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
