This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience or take their first step towards a teaching career. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, keep students on task, and ensure a positive learning environment. Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absences and deliver pre-prepared lesson materials. Maintain order and engagement in the classroom. Provide general support to students across a range of subjects. Report on student behaviour and lesson outcomes. Uphold school policies and promote a positive learning environment. Requirements for the Role of Cover Supervisor: Experience working with young people in an educational or youth-related setting is desirable. Confidence managing classroom behaviour and engaging students. Strong communication and organisational skills. A flexible, proactive, and professional approach to work.
