Overview
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant for KS2 from Tuesday 14th April. The role will be a minimum of 15 hours a week and may include lunch duties. The role is varied and will involve working with children on a one to one basis and within small groups.

About the role
To provide support to teachers in the management of pupils' learning.
1. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO and class teachers
2. Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters
3. Prepare classrooms and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils' work
4. Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, record keeping
5. Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities
6. Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and take responsibility for a group, under the direction of a teacher
7. Undertake playground duties
8. Be aware of and support difference and ensure that pupils have equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop.
9. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection; and report all concerns to an appropriate person.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
10. The jobholder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school.
11. All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, and in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice.
12. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.
