Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills. Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop their confidence.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team environment that prioritises the needs of the children.
* Keep accurate records of children's attendance and any incidents that occur during play sessions.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide activities and support fellow staff members.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children when necessary.
