Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Health Care Assistant to support a young man in his late teens who is developmentally younger than his chronological age. He loves singing and music, dancing and fairground rides and lives with family in the CT6 postcode area for half the week and the CT9 postcode area for half the week.
Responsibilities
* Support with getting up, bathing, meal preparation and feeding
* Healthcare tasks such as seizure management, administering medication, and PEG feeding
* Provide assistance in the community to access activities such as swimming, bowling and the cinema
Requirements / Qualifications
* Commitment, patience, kindness and empathy, with a desire to work in the care sector
* Right to live and work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
* Current driving licence and ability to drive an automatic car
* Safer Recruitment practices: two references and an Enhanced DBS Check; online safeguarding training
* UK DBS Update Service (paid for by employer)
Details
Hours: various, weekends, school holidays and after school
Benefits: 5.6 weeks paid annual leave, access to Workplace Pension with Employer Contribution at Statutory Rate, all training provided, DBS Check and Update Service paid for by employer
This role is working for an individual employer using NHS funds and not working for the NHS.
