Position Summary
Metrea is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to help lead two teams that build software solutions providing geospatial data processing and visualization.
Role And Responsibilities
 * Mentoring, coaching and leading a teams of highly talented engineers, taking responsibility for both their career and personal development.
 * Conducting regular catch-ups and check-ins with the team to support day-to-day engineering activities.
 * Supporting product management and technical leadership in refining requirements and shaping deliverables the team will work on.
 * Helping to align team efforts with broader strategic goals, planning for future resource requirements and technology adoption.
 * Developing and maintaining a deep relationship with the team’s Tech Lead and Product Manager to ensure alignment and delivery support.
 * Collaborating with other Engineering Leaders to improve engineering processes, code quality, release management and documentation.
 * Supporting the recruitment process and onboarding new teammates.
Skills And Experience
 * 4+ years of experience in software development teams, with experience in micro-service architectures, React and C# tech stacks.
 * Significant experience in engineering management, mentoring and developing software engineers, designers and testers.
 * Experience with agile methodologies in software development within a matrix organisation.
 * A passion for personal development and ongoing learning.
 * Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently, plan, prioritise and manage workload.
 * Excellent interpersonal skills with a servant-leadership mindset and the ability to communicate technical content to non-technical stakeholders.

Position Type and Hours
This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On-call and overtime may be required as needed.
