Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the Accounts Payable, Billing, and Credit Control (AR) functions, including any outsourced activities.
* Take ownership of the end‑to‑end purchase ledger process, including invoice approvals and payment runs.
* Oversee billing cycles, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in line with internal KPIs.
* Lead the credit control function, managing collections, credit risk, and customer accounts.
* Manage and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
* Produce weekly reporting and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
* Oversee VAT reporting and submissions, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
* Drive process improvements and efficiencies across transactional finance.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Transactional Finance Manager or in a similar role.
* Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Reconciliations.
* Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team.
* Hands‑on approach with the ability to balance operational and strategic responsibilities.
* Strong Excel skills, with the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Experience using finance systems such as Sage, Xero, or similar.
* AAT Level 4 qualification, degree educated, or equivalent.
Desirable
* Experience within a multi‑entity environment.
* Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI.
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary of £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience, plus an attractive bonus of up to 20%.
