Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in PaNDR + Simulation
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in PaNDR and Simulation to commence from 02 September 2026 for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
The post holds a hybrid clinical and educational role (50‑50), primarily based in PaNDR at CUH. Responsibilities include:
* Gaining experience in paediatric retrieval, attending theatre lists for intubation skills, and handling transfer calls.
* Leading the team at the referring hospital, stabilising children for transfer to PICU/receiving units under supervision.
* Following the PICS-ATG Transport Passport curriculum and maintaining a transport logbook.
* Developing and delivering the PaNDR Simulation Programme across the East of England (CUH and District General Hospitals).
* Participating in ongoing training related to acute patient management and simulation, including Debriefing Courses, Train the Trainers Courses, General Instructor Course, and Mechanical Ventilation Course.
The post holder will work on a 1‑in‑5, nine‑person full‑shift resident rota, with responsibilities shared equally between clinical and administrative duties in line with the New Deal and EWTD.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full registration and licence to practice with the General Medical Council at the point of application.
* Minimum of two years experience in paediatric anaesthesia, emergency medicine (with paediatric experience) or paediatric intensive care.
* One year previous experience in neonatal and/or paediatric intensive care.
* Experience in transport of critically ill neonates and/or paediatric or adult patients.
* Evidence of APLS, PALS or EPALS course completion.
* Proficiency in English communication as per GMC Good Medical Practice (2013).

* Submission of Disclosure and Barring Service check as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
