Assistant Data Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Data Analyst to join ourteam in Bedford. The role will see you responsible for providing technicalsupport for the laboratory’s computerised systems. These systems include theLaboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Document Management System(DMS), Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS) and various instrumentsoftware interface applications.
About the role
Acting as a Data Analyst for a variety of computerised systems,the primary responsibility is to oversee the effective use of these and othersystems in use to ensure quality, compliance with GxP Guidelines,ISO/IEC 17025 standard, data integrity and improved data management.
1. Performing computerised laboratory systems administration duties. access management, role permissions, system audit trail review, setup of new tests and optimisation of existing configuration as required
2. Using exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers in data
3. Mining data from software applications used for investigations, reporting, metrics and trending
4. Researching and evaluating emerging technologies ( RFID); leading and implementing software development projects to support operational improvements
5. Supporting issues with laboratory software systems whilst maintaining compliance with Group IT policy
6. Maintaining static data within the computerised systems as required
7. Ensuring that appropriate documentation is available for regulatory compliance via preparation and revision of relevant operational and validation documentation for laboratory computerised systems
8. Perform helpdesk functions for more complex problems in the laboratory, including problem tracking, analysis, resolution, escalation, coordination and training
9. Generating and executing validation project plans, protocols and reports for computerised system validation
10. Planning and managing the delivery of validation projects and procedures to meet current GxP guidelines, ISO/IEC 17025 standards, industry best practice and company policy
11. Formally reviewing validation protocols, reports and procedures
12. Processing and managing quality records including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs.
13. Ensure all Quality Documentation/Protocol is followed, adhered to and maintained in-line with procedures
14. Record and report results using good record-keeping in compliance with GLP and/or ISO/IEC 17025
Who were looking for
15. Degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent work experience
16. Experience working with/development Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) including experience with SQL queries
17. Excel macro development experience would be advantageous
18. Ability to work with different teams to develop all needed customfunctionality, reports and enhancements for the laboratory and qualityassurance/quality control operations
19. Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks
20. Knowledge of computing and security principles relating to data
21. Good time management and attention to detail
