The client is searching for a Conformal Coating Operative to join the existing team responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards ensuring adherence to required technical and quality standards for a variety of major OEM’s.
The Role:
This position will be responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards, utilising specific surface preparation and coating techniques and fully comply with the required build standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conformal coating of PCBs ensuring all processes are stringently adhered to and any gaps or suggestions for process improvements are made to your immediate supervisor
* Preparation of solvent based materials in line with manufacturer’s instructions
* Ability to accurately identify coating material to ensure correct material used at all times
* Masking and de-masking and cleaning, as needed
* Adherence to work instructions
* Accurate setting of temperature controls on ovens
* Maintenance of accurate production records
* Routine cleaning and maintenance of tools
* Compliance with the company H&S and Quality standards and procedures
* Able to programme conformal coating machines
* Able to mentor others
Skills and experience:
* Previous experience of conformal coating in an electronic manufacturer essential
* Certification to IPC-A-610 desirable
* Able to follow Customer Drawings
* ESD Awareness
* Attention to detail
* Team Player
* Excellent communication skills
