Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Musical Theatre Teacher to join our Footlights Bracknell team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children of various ages.
Duties
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students, including those requiring special education support.
* Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and development.
* Deliver warm ups and teaching sessions to students of different ages and levels of ability (between 4-11 years).
* Be able to direct scenes and facilitate dance and singing lessons.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
* You will be responsible for the health, safety and safeguarding of the students in your care.
* Plan your lessons well in advance.
* Prepare material, props and costumes for various productions and shows.
* Foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect and understanding among all students.
* You will be a positive, upbeat creative individual.
* You will be able to bring out the best in the young people you teach.
* You will be able to differentiate your lessons.
* You will be reliable and organised.
* You MUST be available for After School term time work (An hour between 3pm to 4:30pm).
Experience
* Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, ideally within a school setting.
* Background in Musical Theatre including acting, singing and dance.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Experience working with children of various age groups.
