Join Our Team as a Skilled Operative - Runner at Attleborough Factory in Norfolk.
Responsibilities
* Identify, rectify, and report production issues that may affect process performance, product quality or team member health & safety to facilitate further investigation and root cause analysis.
* Conduct visual inspection of materials for damage, defect or foreign material and verify material batch numbers and shelf life.
* Verify availability of materials (ingredients, packaging & consumables) and availability of a process line prior to production, start-up, changeovers, or clean downs.
* Set up the line/area for production ensuring safe working practices, hygiene standards, machines, parts, tools, labour and conduct product/process changeovers as specified in changeover SOPs.
* Record and collect relevant data to enable production performance reporting (e.g., downtime, waste, yield, non-conformances, rework, changeover times).
* Subject WIP and finished product to standard operating checks to ensure they meet required specifications before release to the next process or warehouse.
* Conduct periodic quality inspections and take product samples before, during and after production as detailed in production specification documents and SOPs.
* Document QC results and assess impact on product/process flow; determine if corrective action is required and pursue implementation to maintain production flow.
Knowledge & Skills
* Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills – Essential
* Fluency in English (oral and written) – Essential
* Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or any Food Manufacturing – Desirable
* Technical ability to complete required standard work at full line speed – Essential
