As a leading FinTechbusiness we value innovation efficiency and continuous improvement.We are currently looking for an experienced handson Finance ProjectManager to join our finance team and assist in the delivery of akey transformational project further the role is expected toprovide some operational support to the leadership of the overallteam including training and crosstraining programme.
The project is focused on our BAU finance andtreasury operations to substantially improve the level oftechnology integration and automation as well as streamliningdaytoday processing. All to improve operational efficiency as wellas the timeliness and accuracy of financialreporting.
To excel in this role you will need tobe a real allrounder someone who is handson detailfocused and withstrong process technology organisation and leadership skills. Youshould possess strong decisionmaking abilities and an analyticalapproach. Your strong interpersonal business people andcommunication skills will enable you to fit well within our companyculture.
About yourwork
As the Head of FinancialProjects you will take the lead role in shaping and delivering theFinance transformation project and provide key operational supportreporting directly to the CFO. You will also provide ad hoc supportto the CFO on issues such as team training recruitment andretention. The role will involve the following keyelements:
* Thebusiness is relatively complex with multiple products funding linesand subsidiaries. The core components of the project will includebut not necessarily be restricted to thefollowing:
* Ensuringthat the integrations between the core operating system and thegeneral ledger system (Oracle NetSuite) areupdated
* Implementingnew simplified and streamlined transactionprocesses
* Cuttingacross to a redesigned general ledger and chart ofaccounts
* Implementedstandardised controls and reviewprocesses
* Ensuringthat there is a clear operating rhythm in Financial Operations withan effective controlframework
* Implementingoperational MI to help support effective futureoperations
* Theproject is already in flight but is expected to be a journey ofimprovement over a number of years. Initially starting with basicfunctions such as payments and reconciliations but ultimatelyfocussing on highvalue add functions such as MI analysis andproduct profitability and pricinganalysis.
* Youwill be required to work closely with the Finance IT and Treasuryteams and so will need to develop effective working relationshipswith key stakeholders in thosefunctions
* Youwill be required to provide regular progress updates to the FinanceLeadership Team and work in strong collaboration with theoperationalteams.
* Youwill be required to manage and control the project budgetexplaining any variances and making recommendations for anymaterial changes that arenecessary

Aboutyou
* Aminimum of 4 years post qualified experience within a financialservices setting
* Goodfinance experience in changefocused environments with Lean SixSigma experience desirable
* Relevant operationalexperience in areas such as Financial Operations FP&A andFinancial Control
* Goodunderstanding of Finance/Accounting business processes includingRecord to Report Order to Cash & Purchase toPay
* Good FS reportingunderstanding and understanding ofIFRS
* Strong people projectand stakeholder managementskills
* Good team playerability to work with the operational heads and understand the dayto day challenges of thedepartment
* Credibility withgood influencing and negotiatingskills
* Methodical tenaciousapproach and ability to perform at a high standard with a sense ofurgency
* Strong analyticaland commercialacumen
* Demonstratedexperience in process and technologyimprovement
* Positive andflexible approach towork
