A warm and welcoming primary school in the St Helens area is seeking a dedicated and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team from September 2025.
The Role:
As a general EYFS TA, you will:
Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
Work closely with pupils aged 3–5 to support their early development in communication, language, and play
Deliver small group activities and interventions
Encourage positive behaviour and independence in a caring, stimulating environment
Assist with observations and contribute to children’s learning journals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working within an EYFS setting (nursery or school)
A good understanding of the EYFS Framework
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive and child-centred approach to learning support
