What you’ll be doing:
1. Delivering Training: Provide high-quality instruction on the construction and maintenance of submarine equipment (Weapons Engineering).
2. Maintenance and Support: Perform planned maintenance and defect rectification to ensure equipment availability.
3. Collaboration: Work effectively with internal and external authorities to achieve training goals.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide expert maintenance support.
5. Training Design: Contribute to the design and development of training programs and materials.
6. Support Tasks: Assist with preparatory work, assessments, and post-delivery activities.
What we’re looking for:
7. Experience as a Petty Officer Engineer Technician (WESM) on the Class of Submarine relevant to the training being delivered
8. Previous experience of delivering training would be desirable
9. Proficient in the use of MS Office
10. DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course (successful completion) is highly beneficial
11. Must be able to travel to the south coast for training in the first few months
12. There will be a need to work 6pm – 10pm once every 6 weeks for a week
13. Must be able to be cleared to UK SC level

Selborne is a £1 billion, 12-year contract which commenced operations on 1 April 2021. It is a strategic partnership between Team Fisher (a consortium of partners, led by Capita) and the Royal Navy, to transform 80% of shore-based training for sailors, submariners and marines.
