First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team in Leatherhead, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the responsible person for providing a proactive quality assurance service to the executive, managers, employees, and other stakeholders, enabling the company to meet its statutory and non-statutory obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Act as deputy to the organisation’s lead competent person for gas compliance.
2. Assist in ensuring compliance with current gas legislation, approved codes of practice, and guidance related to employment and service provision.
3. Stay informed about changes to relevant legislation through links with professional bodies, publications, and deputising at relevant meetings.
4. Advise on faults concerning gas safety/quality and recommend actions.
5. Audit completed LGSRs, identify defects, and advise on remedial measures.
6. Manage the company’s ACS training centre, train candidates, handle documentation, and maintain centre compliance with national awarding bodies.
7. Schedule, coordinate, and maintain details for all in-house ACS Renewals six months prior to renewal date.
8. Schedule, coordinate, and maintain details for all essential technical qualifications requiring periodic renewal through external approved training providers/colleges.
9. Monitor, evaluate, and review gas policies and practices, make recommendations, and assist with implementing new policies and procedures.
10. Liaise between management and staff on all gas-related matters to ensure consistent application and understanding of policies and procedures.
11. Identify gas training needs for employees and develop/deliver training accordingly.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Essential:
* ACS qualifications – minimum of CCN1, CEN1, CENWAT, & CKR1.
* At least 10 years’ experience in Domestic Gas.
* Experience in an ISO-focused role.
* Supervisory experience.
* Full driving license.
* Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
* Flexibility and willingness to undertake additional tasks as needed.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Up-to-date technical knowledge and application of new information.
* Advanced MS Excel skills, including Macros, V Look-up, and Pivot Tables.
* First Aid at Work (1 or 3-Day) certification.
* Electrical fault-finding experience.
