CNC Sliding Head
Hours : 6am to 2pm / Monday to Friday
Location : Kingswinford
Salary : £30,000 to £36,000 per annum
Must have the full rights to work within the UK (No sponsorship offered)
We’re currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a skilled precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC Star Sliding Head machines to produce high-quality components used in critical applications.
What you’ll be doing :
* Programming, setting, and operating CNC Sliding Head (Star machines with Fanuc controls)
* Producing high-integrity components to tight tolerances
* Working from technical drawings, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout
* Conducting first-off and in-process inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
* Performing routine machine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and safe
* Collaborating with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and optimise output
What we’re looking for :
* Proven experience in a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator role (ideally in a high-integrity or precision environment)
* Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc)
* Proven experience working on Sliding head machines (Star machines)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
* Good understanding of inspection and measurement techniques
* Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
