Procurement Specialist – Contract (Warwick)
Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support a major energy programme based in Warwick. This is an excellent opportunity to join a complex, global engineering environment where you will play a key role in shaping a competitive, transparent and sustainable supply chain supporting low‑emission energy solutions.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across assigned commodities. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will drive cost optimisation, quality, productivity and risk mitigation while ensuring contractual and commercial alignment with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include implementing commodity and material field strategies, planning and leading supplier negotiations, and managing contracts covering pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms. You will analyse market trends, monitor supplier performance, report on key metrics and proactively identify and mitigate procurement risks. The role also involves supporting strategic programmes, including product reactivation initiatives, and contributing to preferred supplier strategies.
To succeed in this Procurement Specialist role, you will bring strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working within a global, matrix organisation.
Essential requirements include:
* Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity or procurement management
* Strong contract negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
* Advanced Excel and data analysis capability
* Experience working with global suppliers
* Degree-qualified; MBA or higher qualification advantageous
We are looking for candidates with procurement experience or individuals with senior-level experience in a relevant field such as engineering, costing, or similar disciplines.
The ideal candidate will be able to:

Contract details:
* Location: Warwick (hybrid – 2 days onsite – 3 days initially until integrated)
* Duration: 6 months
* Rate: £400 - £480 per day – PAYE - Dependent on experience
£540 - £648 per day – Umbrella
* Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week
* Travel to suppliers as and when required – Once every 2-3 months
* Inside IR35
* Interview – 2 stage
