Job Summary

As a Tool & Die Maker, you will manually fabricate and modify existing tooling and fixtures for aircraft part manufacturing. You will use conventional fabrication machines such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders, along with manual and pneumatic shop tools.

Job Responsibilities

* Operate pneumatic, manual, and electric shop equipment such as die grinders, band saws, drill presses, etc.
* Work with minimal instructions and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
* Lift heavy objects and work with sheet metal.
* Develop complex fixtures and dies using mechanical blueprints.
* Use precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
* Reverse engineer manufacturing tooling and interpret engineering blueprints and data.
* Stand for long durations during work hours.
* Perform additional duties with minimal supervision as assigned.

Job Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED
* 5+ years of experience fabricating production tooling and fixtures manually, with the ability to perform shop math, read/interpret blueprints, and reverse engineer tooling.
* Hands-on experience in conventional machining and manual fabrication of various metals and alloys.
* Compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations and program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
* Strong communication skills; fluent in English, capable of reading and writing effectively
* Own personal tools for the job
* Knowledge of conventional machining
* AWS certified welder
* Experience with plaster tool fabrication
* Familiarity with ASI standards

Compensation Data

Pay Range: $32.65/hr - $42.02/hr
