About the Role
Wellington College is seeking a passionate and experienced Dutch Language Tutor to join our dynamic Modern Foreign Languages Department. This self-employed role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality Dutch language tuition to pupils across a range of ages and abilities, supporting academic achievement and fostering cultural awareness.
As a Dutch Language Tutor, you will:
* Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs, aligned with curriculum standards (GCSE, A-Level, IB).
* Prepare pupils for non-curriculum Dutch examinations and support heritage language learners.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide informal feedback to staff.
* Liaise with the Head of MFL and other staff to ensure effective integration and support.
* Maintain professional standards and adhere to safeguarding protocols.
Tuition may be delivered in person at Wellington College or online, depending on pupil needs and departmental arrangements.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Dutch language educator who brings both linguistic expertise and a genuine passion for pupil development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate native or near-native fluency in Dutch, alongside a strong academic foundation and relevant teaching experience.
A confident communicator, they will be able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider school community. Familiarity with international curricula and independent school environments is advantageous, as is a flexible and pupil-centred approach to teaching.
