We are recruiting a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services across multiple sites within London. This role requires excellent technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by Helpdesk team, including fault finding, testing, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
* Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
* Electrically work on single and three-phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and other electrical duties.
* Produce detailed technical quotations including correct parts and labour times to ensure profitability, cost control and client satisfaction.
* Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
* Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
* Collaborate effectively with a skilled team to achieve client objectives.
* Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient plant operation without disruption to the client.
* Be part of the out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency repair works as required.
Skills and Experience
* Experience working on single and three-phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and related electrical duties.
* Strong fault-finding skills on electrical plant and systems.
* Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
* Experience in commercial facilities maintenance.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
* Ability to carry out work on traditional plant equipment through to more modern systems with a safety-conscious approach.
* Ability to work safely and diligently.
Specific Qualifications
* City & Guilds/NVQ - Electrical Installation / Maintenance or equivalent
* City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training
* Knowledge of building services engineering
* Testing and Inspection certification is desirable
* Understanding of Electricity at Work safe working practices
* Knowledge and experience of BMS, generators, control, lighting systems, and ACOPS L8
* IPAF/PASMA beneficial
Due to the nature of the contract, you will need to go through contract-specific vetting DBS, financial and employment background checks.
