What Youll Do: As the Deputy Care Manager, youll provide crucial leadership and guidance, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centered care. Youll: Lead, motivate, and support the care team to deliver outstanding care every day. Step up as acting Manager during periods of absence, ensuring seamless care and operations. Develop and implement personalized care plans that prioritize safety, comfort, and dignity. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to coordinate medical care and support services. Monitor and mentor staff, offering coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Uphold regulatory compliance (CQC and local authority standards) and maintain clear, accurate records. Manage concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, always putting residents first. Support safe and accurate medication management, including ordering and record-keeping. Participate in the on-call rota (every other week) and be ready to cover shifts as needed. What Were Looking For: Qualifications: Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Experience: Ideally, previous experience as a Deputy Manager, but we welcome applicants with proven leadership experience in a senior care role within a residential setting. Skills & Knowledge: Fully trained in medication administration. Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals.
