What You’ll be doing
1. Manage and develop the team through ongoing coaching and feedback to deliver outstanding results
2. Implement and embed continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site and centrally driven processes
3. Oversee van resource allocation, stock inventory, and maintenance to ensure efficient operations
4. Respond to customer demands and volume changes by flexing operational resources to meet targets
5. Ensure compliance with legal and safety frameworks while managing recruitment and headcount requirements
What makes a great Shift Manager
1. Leadership experience in managing a team of managers and team members within a unionised environment
2. Proven track record in handling multi-drop delivery and customer final mile delivery operations
3. Experience in delivering KPI performances to meet budgetary requirements and achieve an optimum cost to serve
4. Management skills that engage and motivate colleagues at all levels
5. Capable of responding to customer demands and fluctuations at pace, ensuring the efficient delivery of a first-class service
