The Group Financial Crime Policy and Standards Manager is a management role responsible for producing Group Financial Crime Policies and Standards, as well as developing the Group Financial Crime training and awareness framework.
Financial crime responsibilities:
1. Produce and maintain the M&G Group and UK Financial Crime Policy in line with M&G Policy and Governance Framework.
2. Produce and maintain M&G Group Financial Crime Standards, including Group Minimum Requirements, guidance, matrices, and parameters.
3. Identify and assess all UK and global financial crime regulatory requirements in coordination with the Regulatory Affairs Team and Local 2LoD FC teams, as part of horizon scanning.
4. Review and challenge the M&G Financial Crime obligations register.
5. Produce and maintain the UK Financial Crime Policy aligned with the Group policy.
6. Define Financial Crime requirements for the Group Third Party Financial Crime Risk Management Framework.
7. Develop and maintain the Financial Crime Training and Competency Framework and communication strategy.
Additional responsibilities:
* Contribute to defining the M&G Policy and Governance Framework and Risk Management Framework.
* Disseminate policies, standards, and related frameworks across the organization.
* Engage with corporate functions to ensure controls and communicate policy changes.
* Identify training needs arising from policy updates and coordinate with Group Central Financial Crime Functions.
* Build collaborative relationships with risk and compliance stakeholders and local teams.
* Perform other tasks as required within the scope of the role.
Skill requirements:
* Established experience in financial crime, with understanding of risks in asset management and insurance sectors.
* Strong track record in interpreting regulatory changes and updating policies accordingly.
* Experience in gap analysis and benchmarking against regulatory standards and industry best practices.
* Proficiency in writing, reviewing, and maintaining financial crime policies within relevant sectors.
* Experience in designing risk-based approaches and conducting impact assessments.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Knowledge of risk management principles.
* Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
