This is an exciting time in the illustrious history of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Following recent challenges, the club has enjoyed recent on-field success with the Men’s Senior Team getting promoted back to the Division 1 Championship and the Senior Women making the Tier 2 T20 Blast Finals Day and winning the Tier 2 50 Over competition ahead of their transition to Tier 1 professional cricket in 2026.

Off the field, the collaborative Yorkshire County Cricket Club Science and Medicine team continues to grow. The aim of the department is to provide first class health and performance support to a wide range of players across the professional game, academy and pathway for both men’s and women’s teams. The medical department work closely with numerous stakeholders including coaches, backroom staff and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team, aiming to provide the best service for improvement in player physicality, mental health and wellbeing to maximise their full potential on the pitch.

The Pathway, EPP and Academy is where the best young cricketers in the area represent Yorkshire County Cricket Club at County Age Group and Academy level in preparation for elite cricket performance.

In this exciting and versatile role, the Pathway Physiotherapist, reporting to the Senior Physiotherapists, will provide high quality sports physiotherapy services to Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Boys and Girls Academy plus identified EPP players. This role will be pivotal in providing the highest standard of injury prevention, injury management and rehabilitation to these players with the aim to maximise player athletic performance, robustness and availability along their journey towards senior professional cricket.

This role will require regular national travel with Academy teams to provide dedicated, professional support for training and matches through the summer season (April – September). The role will require a committed individual with a passion for young athletic development and cricket performance, with the adaptability to work with male and female players, staff and other key stakeholders.

This role is offered for a 6 month period between April and September.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for people who meet the below criteria:
- Current registration and accreditation with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy (BSc / MSc)
Relevant sports trauma qualification – PHICIS / ATMMiF / Lubas STM / CTM or appropriate other
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with previous experience of working collaboratively in a professional environment.
- An understanding of the safeguarding and health and safety needs relevant to the role.
- An understanding or experience of delivering projects within an equity, diversity and inclusion framework.
