Hull
Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust
Pharmacy assistant
Posted: 26 August
Offer description

We are looking for reliable, conscientious, and practical applicants to join our large team of staff working in busy departments, providing an efficient pharmacy service.

The successful candidates will undertake duties across all sites within the trust, including, but not exclusively, stores, distribution, ward top-up, medical gas delivery, and dispensing services.

Applicants must have an NVQ2/BTEC level 2 in Pharmacy Services and pharmacy experience in a healthcare setting.

Applicants should, preferably but not essential, have a full clean driving license, as they will be required to undertake a driving assessment to allow the use of Trust transport when delivering drugs around the trust sites.

All staff participate in evening, weekend, and Bank Holiday working arrangements of the department.

We offer a range of flexible working options (most staff work full-time hours over 4 days), but duties and working times may be subject to reasonable change in the future to meet the service's needs.

If you are keen to embrace change, explore new ways of working, and want to be part of a large, friendly, and supportive department, this could be the opportunity for you.

If interested, we can offer a tour of the department where you can meet staff and observe our work.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community NHS partnerships, serving over one million patients annually with a budget of over £1.3 billion.

It comprises two Trusts: Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH). Our partnership aims to deliver world-class hospital and community services for 1.65 million people.

We employ nearly 20,000 staff across five main hospital sites: Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, Goole and District Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, and Castle Hill Hospital.

As teaching hospitals affiliated with Hull York Medical School, we lead and contribute to research in various fields, including biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.

We are committed to developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled, and caring workforce to deliver excellent patient care and foster a great future for our employees, partnership, and community.
