We have an amazing opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our friendly team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital.
Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged We specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment. We are dedicated to providing caring, supportive, recovery-focused treatment and we achieve this by working together with our young people, their families and other professionals. Our facilities include, Ofsted registered on-site school, High intensity suite, Occupational therapy kitchen, Gym, Outdoor sports area, including a basketball court, Three cabins for therapy, keep fit and a multi-faith cabin.
What you'll be working:
* 37.5 hours per week
* Monday to Friday

What you'll be doing:
* The reception of patients' relatives and visitors to the ward as necessary.
* To answer the telephone and take messages for the ward team.
* Prepare and maintain patient case notes and to ensure that all up to date information with regard to care plans is available when required
* Undertake general filing and administration on behalf of the ward staff including the completion of statistical returns as necessary.
* Liaise with other adult mental health services, medical records, pharmacy and other departments as necessary.
* Accurately input data and maintain the electronic patient record on the Care Notes system, including setting up patients' records on the system and recording any leave of absence.
* Maintain adequate stocks of stationery and sundry items for the ward.
* Undertake typing of general letters and reports for the medical and multidisciplinary team.
* Process new referrals and complete relevant paperwork. Deal with daily correspondence, sort, date and distribute to relevant staff.
* Assist in maintaining the general tidiness of the ward office.
* Provide general support services to the ward staff in the collection and delivery of items on an ad hoc basis to other departments including the collection of patients' monies and personal items. Communication and Relationship
What you'll have:
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
* Thorough understanding of confidentiality within a Health and Social Care setting
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Applications
* Good communication skills
* Empathy and Compassion
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
