Payroll Assistant – Leicester
Salary: £30,000 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing
* Processing payroll for 400+ monthly employees using a time and attendance system.
* Managing weekly and monthly payrolls to strict deadlines.
* Handling starters, leavers, transfers, salary changes, and benefits administration.
* Preparing payroll reports and statutory submissions.
* Performing manual calculations for tax, NI, and other deductions when needed.
* Assisting with pensions, share schemes, and year-end processes.
* Responding to employee queries and providing excellent internal service.
* Supporting process improvements to make payroll more efficient.
What We’re Looking For
* 2–3 years’ experience in a payroll role (essential).
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and use your initiative.
* A proactive mindset and a desire to work in a challenging, rewarding environment.
