This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience. We are currently supporting Outwood schools in: Sheffield Barnsley (2 schools) Doncaster (2 schools) Chesterfield (2 schools) Worksop (2 schools) As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons during teacher absence and ensure students remain engaged with the work set by teaching staff. This role is ideal for candidates considering a future career in teaching, education, or youth support. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Deliver pre-set lesson materials provided by teaching staff Supervise classes across a range of subjects Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Ensure students remain focused and on task Maintain a positive and safe learning environment Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons No formal teaching qualification is required, although confidence managing groups of secondary-aged pupils is essential. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates who: Hold a UK-recognised degree or relevant experience working with young people Have strong communication and behaviour management skills Are reliable, adaptable, and professional Have an interest in education or teaching Are confident working within secondary school settings Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or previous Cover Supervisor roles is desirable but not essential.
