Job Description

Proposed Interview Date: Wednesday 18 March 2026

Contract Type: Temporary for up to 23 Months

Salary: FC8 £41,972.91 to £45,990.00

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week

Location: Fife Wide

Job Details

* To develop, manage and coordinate the delivery of a range of family support services across Fife as part of a whole family approach (0-18 yrs.) in partnership with a range of agencies.
* Managing and supervising a team of Family Support workers
* Contribute to supporting and managing home education liaising with Education Manager
* Contributing to professional development of the attendance support team
* Participating in local resourcing groups
* Supporting the development of systems and processes and across education establishments
* Collaboratively working with a range of Community Planning Partners
* Ensuring the continuation of improvement through data collection and recording
* Developing and supporting the delivery of parenting and family support services
* Promoting and embedding practice based on the key components of the Getting It Right in Fife (GIRIF) Framework, the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, The Promise, UNCRC and the objectives of the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund
* Collating impact and outcome reports
* Monitoring expenditure as part of the wider budget in Strategic Equity Fund

Lead a team of Family Support Workers by:

* Ensuring high standard of skills and competency
* Reviewing and monitoring staff workload
* Delivering presentations
* Managing staff performance and development
* Responding to conflict


The Person

The individual should have experience of supporting staff development, collaborative working and systems development. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational, negotiation, evaluation, and analytical skills. Experience with financial budgeting, presentation and report writing are also essential.


Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements

A minimum of SCQF level 9 is required, with a degree or equivalent Education, Social Work or Community Education or equivalent experience is required. With particular attention to evaluation and analytical skills.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
