Main duties of the job
The role involves completing holistic and risk assessments, delivering evidence-based treatments, managing admissions and discharges, coaching and supervising junior colleagues, attending and leading meetings (including MDTs, reviews, team meetings), maintaining ward environments, supporting the families of service users, and contributing to the safe and effective delivery of services. The role emphasizes involving service users in decision-making and complying with legal and policy frameworks to improve their lives.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience with severe and enduring mental illness.
* Knowledge of relapse prevention and mental health treatment issues.
* Experience in audit and research.
Knowledge
* Understanding of nurse prescribing principles and protocols.
* Broad knowledge of risk assessments.
Qualifications
* Current UK professional registration (please include registration number).
* Post-qualification award in health/social care at degree level or equivalent.
* 032/33 or ENB998 (or equivalent).
* Clinical Supervision Training.
* Nurse prescribing qualification.
* AMHP training or willingness to undertake it.
* IT qualification to level 2 or equivalent.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude, person-centred, trauma-informed care approach.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Commitment to user and carer involvement.
* Own transport access.
