Crem Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of its client for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based near Newmarket on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Production capability has expanded rapidly, new projects continue to come through the door and the design team now needs an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who can help lead from the front technically, whilst remaining hands-on day-to-day. You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle, from concept generation and detailed design through to prototyping, testing, production support and continuous improvement. This is not a role where designs disappear into the void. You’ll see products move through the workshop, collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering teams and play a key part in solving real-world engineering challenges.
